The Finance Analyst will support the continued growth plan for United Ground Express (UGE), create new models and controls for decision-makers at UGE, analyze UGE capital projects, and assist the planning and operational controls analysts with ad-hoc support during peak periods. You will consolidate monthly reporting for internal and external parties on UGE financial performance within the company, our parent company United Airlines, and across numerous external partners and vendors.
Develop financial models and work closely with the business development group on bids for the continued growth of UGE.
Manage process improvement and development of finance communication and training tools.
Report to internal and external parties on UGE financial performance.
Conduct P&L consolidation and variance research.
Analyze and expand on plan and forecast reporting.
Create capital planning and analyze new capital projects.
Complete ad-hoc projects and one-off scenario analysis.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (or related degree) or equivalent experience in a financial analysis role.
Prior analytical work experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.
Minimum of 1 year experience with Hyperion Planning and Oracle Financial Systems.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Solid knowledge of accrual accounting principles and financial statements.
A passion for data analysis and solving complex problems with strategic solutions.
Advanced data visualization skills.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and consensus-building skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must pass all pre-employment screenings.
Must complete required training and maintain certification throughout employment.
Knowledge of airport services and business practices.
Experience with organized labor economic analysis.
Experience in bid analysis and preparation.
Ability to combine imaginative thinking with data analysis to provide creative solutions.
Base Salary range: $60,000 - $66,000 (L6) annually.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
