About the Role

Location: 11500 Southern Highlands Parkway Las Vegas, NV 89141

This position will split time between two nearby private school campuses.  We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to teach Mandarin to students from beginner through intermediate levels across both elementary and middle school grades . This position involves creating engaging, age-appropriate lessons that foster language skills and cultural awareness in an interactive and fun environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and capable of adapting to the needs of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate Mandarin instruction to elementary and middle school students (grades K–8)
• Teach beginner through intermediate levels, adapting curriculum for developmental stages and skill levels
• Travel between two campuses (with support for travel time built into the schedule)
• Create a classroom culture that emphasizes respect, collaboration, and enthusiasm for language learning
• Implement assessments to measure student growth and adjust instruction accordingly
• Integrate cultural content to deepen students’ appreciation of Chinese language and heritage
• Collaborate with other language and homeroom teachers to align instruction and support interdisciplinary learning
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom updates

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and proficiency in English
• Bachelor’s degree, in Chinese Language Education or Foreign Language Instruction (preferred)
• Experience working with both elementary and middle school students, preferably in a school setting
• Strong classroom management and instructional differentiation skills
• Ability to foster a warm, supportive, and culturally rich learning environment
• Flexibility and organization to teach at two campuses
