BEPC Inc. is searching for Principal Electrical Engineer in Glendale, AZ.
CONTRACT W2: 6 – month contract with possible extensions.
PAY AND BENEFITS: $60 - $65/hr. (BOE) + medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
The candidate will be responsible for designing new products and making improvements to existing space application products, including Reaction Wheel Assemblies (RWAs) and Control Moment Gyroscopes (CMGs). This role involves evaluating products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability, ensuring project completion, and working with other members of the engineering staff to ensure timely design and production.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in area of specialty.
• 15+ years of experience in space/momentum control products.
• Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Expertise in Analog and/or Digital Circuit Design and Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA).
• Experience with power supplies, motor drives, feedback control loops, and embedded digital controls is a plus.
• Strong electrical design and analysis capability along with good communication skills.
• Comfortable working on hardware in a lab environment.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with modeling tools such as P-SPICE and MATLAB.
• Basic understanding of spacecraft hardware including momentum devices.
• Must be a US citizen; dual citizenship may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, modify, and test analog, digital, and power electronic circuits, and author related technical documentation.
• Support ongoing production and new business activities related to Honeywell's Momentum Controls Systems product lines.
• Provide written reports and oral presentations to program or engineering management and customers to explain technical approaches and project status.
• Accept work assignments and perform tasks with minimal oversight.
• Work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels.
• Demonstrate experience working as a member of a team and adapt well to a changing environment.
• Lead and direct the work of other engineers, technicians, and designers.
