Job Description

Transform Your Animal Care Experience into a Rewarding Career About Us: We've built our reputation providing premium private 1-on-1 dog walking services across the Eastside. This required a major commitment to reactive dogs and rescues who can't be around other dogs, which needed a specific kind of walker (our owner) that can control these dogs. We've grown to fill an entire schedule and now: we're expanding our business offerings into professional pack walks with dogs that can interact with other dogs on walks to meet growing demand while highlighting our safety focused service for discerning eastside pet owners. We work with clients that use non-force (treats & redirection) and a hybrid/limited force (only correct when they see squirrel, etc). Now we need another unique walker who can manage not just a group of 4-6 dogs, but several groups daily and grow into the role with our entire marketing budget behind you. All across the eastside, dog daycares are closing and other dog walking competitors can't figure out how to provide an eastside pet service job that pays eastside wages to its employees. We think we've cracked the code, and we also think we have a unique edge in client retention & acquisition strategies. We believe in paying competitive wages that reflect the Seattle Eastside market and the skilled nature of this work. The Role : Professional Pack Walk Leader will lead group adventures for 4-6 dogs in beautiful local greenspaces and trails around the eastside. You will exercise confidence and excellence when handling a group of dogs, and you'll demonstrate safe handling practices in crossing streets, etc. These are structured walks with limited sniffing and all dogs will be under your control. This isn't just a dog walking job - it's a career opportunity for someone who can maintain control, safety, and engagement for multiple dogs while building trust with discerning clients. This job represents a real opportunity to grow a territory local to you and optimize for ease of driving between clients. This position is an evergreen territory opportunity where you'll have the ability to choose exactly who you want in your pack, and how many packs you want to run per day. We will provide an app to route you to client's homes most effectively from your own home, along with training for client introductions, and gear recommendations. Compensation :

  • 30/hour to start with first group of 5-6 dogs (part time 3 hour day) and $50/hr for your second group = $40hr at full time. $70hr for the third group = $450/day if you did 3 groups of dogs or roughly 9 hours per day (this isn't an expectation, and would take serious work).
  • 250 quarterly bonus for positive reviews & client retention.
  • 200 monthly gas stipend at full capacity.
  • 500 gear reimbursement after you've.
Professional development opportunities. Example Schedule: Morning group: 7/8am start (pickup & gear up) 9am walk, 11am drop-off. Afternoon groups: 12pm pickup, 1pm walk, -4pm. Territory-based routing to optimize drive time. Opportunity to expand to two and three groups with demand (additional +$20/hr per group per day, $450 daily at 3 groups). Required Qualifications : Excellent driving history, no at fault accidents. Professional animal care experience. Excellent client communication skills. Physical capability for active outdoor work. Reliable transportation. Residence within service area. Strongly Preferred : Vet tech experience, healthcare background, etc. History of handling multiple dogs, visible confidence and methodology. Daily Responsibilities: Safe transport of multiple dogs. Professional client interactions during pickup/drop-off. Post walk update to pet parents (we have an app for this you just take the photos and email them to photos@eastsidedogwalking.com). Group dog walk management at local greenspaces.
