JOB DESCRIPTION

Apex is seeking an experienced QA Architect to join our US and Canada practice within Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. The QA Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing quality assurance strategies, ensuring the highest standards of software quality, and leading QA initiatives across multiple projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build strong client, industry and technical community relationships and represent Apex Systems as leaders in Industry and Professional events and communities. Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
• Demonstrate expert-level technical knowledge, skills, and effective professional consulting skills. Serve as a subject matter expert. Build trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and model collaborative teamwork.
• Lead team members and direct reports to produce high quality deliverables, meet project deadlines, and take responsibility for engagement and team success. Coach and manage direct reports, maintaining strong employee engagement and productivity. Demonstrate a passion for quality and process improvement. Lead the development, growth, and success of your team, developing professionals for the next stage of their careers.
• Demonstrate professional level consulting skills, leadership skills and executive level communication/ presentation skills. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.
• Participate in sales pursuits through providing technical guidance, estimates, scoping, and other pre-sales activities. Continually innovate, seek creative solutions, and find new ways of adding value. Listen and seek to understand the client and meet their needs, providing consultative guidance. Stay attuned to the future needs of the client and work with internal resources to identify opportunities. Proactively provide solutions and approach adversity with a solution focused mindset.
• Participate in the technical community at Apex to help define and deliver Apex best practices.
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive QA strategies and frameworks.
• Lead the design and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Define overall QA strategy and best practices.
• Design and develop testing frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Evaluate and integrate new testing technologies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality.
• Establish and maintain QA best practices, standards, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback to development teams.
• Mentor and train QA team members on best practices and new technologies.
• Analyze and report on QA metrics and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in QA methodologies and tools.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA processes and efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years of experience in testing methodologies and creation of automated test cases in highly Agile environment.
• 2+ years experience as a Lead QA Architect or similar role.
• Strong experience providing strategic design and technical oversight of QA processes and systems.
• Proven track record of leading QA initiatives and delivering high-quality software products.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Deep understanding of InfoLease 9's features, including contract management, billing and invoicing, taxation, and end-of-term processes.
• Experience managing client deliverables and expectations related to InfoLease 9 implementations/upgrades.
• Strong programming experience with languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Proven experience designing and building Automation frameworks from scratch.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client deliverables and expectations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages and scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Ruby) preferred.
• BA/BS preferred in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
