Position summary: Reuben's has grown significantly over the last few years, presenting the need to grow our team. This role will report to our Head of Production and Quality, and the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in operating all aspects of the packaging line and cellar production, including setup, troubleshooting, and off-packing, along with kegging, and cellaring. Training will be provided for all aspects of the position. A basic understanding of beer and the brewing process is desired. Packaging operators have one primary goal: to assist with the smooth packaging of our beer. The successful applicant will be a member of the brewery operations team and work closely with the other brewing and packaging team members. About us: Reuben's Brews is a family brewery that opened in 2012. We brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints. We know making the extra effort is worth it. We are the most decorated brewery in Washington, have two brewhouses, two tasting rooms, and two private event spaces, and we distribute our beer predominantly in the Pacific Northwest. In 2024 we brewed 26,000 BBLs. The role: Duties will include, but aren't necessarily limited to the following. Operating the packaging line packaging bottles and cans Troubleshooting mechanical challenges Prepping tanks for packaging or kegging Maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the brewery Help with training peers on tasks when necessary. Helping out throughout all aspects of production when needed Focusing on raw material handling, wort production, cellar movement, dry hopping, yeast harvesting, beer finishing, and SIP/CIP of hot and cold side equipment Accurately recording data Moving supplies and staging materials throughout the day Conducting quality checks and ensuring standards are met, troubleshooting when necessary Keg washing and filling The successful candidate will have: A passion for the beer industry, including a strong knowledge of Reuben's A Glass Backwards mentality-taking unique, solution focused approaches to problems A proven track record of Inspired Action-Infectiously enthusiastic and can-do attitude-a thirst to learn, to teach others, and an obsessive commitment to our brewery's success is an absolute must A focus on Pouring Delight for both internal and external customers A drive for Success as One Team-a team focused approach to achieve results Physical demands include but are not limited to: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Often lift or move full 1/2BBL kegs (60-160 pounds).
