Yoh has an exciting, contract-to-hire opportunity for a Sr.Systems Administrator to join our Autonomous Technology client on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will steward and enhance a modern, secure, and highly available IT environment. Responsibilities include providing advanced technical support, guiding infrastructure upkeep, overseeing the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, and coaching junior staff to ensure our client's users and systems operate at peak performance.The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of overall relevant experience, and live within a commutable distance to the office in Dallas, TX.

Title: Sr. Systems Administrator
Compensation: $45.00-65.00/hour (depends on experience level)
Type: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tier-2/3 support across Windows and Linux servers, workstations, and virtualized environments.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, and application issues for both on-site and remote users.
Create and maintain user accounts, security groups, and policies in Active Directory and Azure AD.
Enforce least-privilege access and multi-factor authentication standards
Coordinate procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of IT assets.
Maintain accurate inventory, monitor license compliance, and track depreciation using enterprise asset-management tools.
Produce dashboards and audit-ready reports covering asset utilization, patching status, and software licensing.
Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation.
Mentor junior administrators, contribute to runbooks and technical documentation, and deliver informal training sessions.
Participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation and schedule maintenance windows during off-peak periods.
Partner with network, security, and cloud teams to investigate incidents, implement new services, and drive continual improvement.

Qualifications:
~7+ total years in IT, including 2+ years in a senior or mentoring capacity.
~ Expert knowledge of Windows Server/Desktop and mainstream Linux distributions.
~ Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and related IAM tooling.
~ Solid grasp of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint security best practices.
~ Familiarity with asset-management platforms such as Snipe-IT, Jira Service Management, or comparable solutions.
~ Willingness to participate in rotational on-call and perform scheduled work outside standard business hours.
~ Strong documentation habits, analytical troubleshooting ability, and a service-oriented mindset.
~ Effective communicator comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders.
~ Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), JAMF, and PowerShell scripting.
~ Working knowledge of ITIL processes for change, incident, and asset management.
~ Background in asset planning, forecasting, and vendor management.
~ Proven success supporting distributed or hybrid workforces.
~ Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL, Cisco, etc.).
