As a Zinc Kettle at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Rochelle, IL, you will play a key role in operating production equipment, handling materials, and ensuring the production process runs smoothly. Responsibilities include operating hand and power equipment to ensure machinery functions properly, running machinery and handling materials to maintain smooth production operations, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed, operating mobile and packing equipment to prepare finished products for shipment, and completing other duties as assigned by management. Candidates should have 1+ years of industrial experience, preferably in manufacturing or production, a High School Diploma/GED, proven mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, dependability, ability to work shift work, physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a plant environment for extended periods, legal authorization to work in the US, and must pass a drug/physical/background check. Physical abilities required include lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, remaining stationary for several hours, and performing work in a manufacturing environment with manual dexterity.
