THE ROLE:
We are looking for a n experienced engineer with an obsession for firmware. As part of the role, this e ngineer will work closely with other firmware engineers, developers and architects across various IPs in leading the desig ns and implementing firmware that spans pre -silicon and post-silicon for all AMD SoCs.
THE PERSON:
You are passionate about firmware development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Engineer responsible for d esign ing , develop ing , debug ging , verify ing and/or validat ing firmware, software and/or hardware
Lead day-to-day f irmware development work
Provide consultation to internal and external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirement s
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Multiple p rior years of related firmware experience combined with technical education within the semiconductor industry
E xpert level e xperience producing quality firmware
Expert in C and Assembly language
Deep understanding computer/embedded system architecture and boot-up sequence
Extensive experience in Linux or embedded RTOS system/driver programming
Experience with high speed device and DMA operation
USB experience will be a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor ' s or M aster ' s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
